HD House

HD House is a private residence in Jakarta designed to bring the relaxed atmosphere of a Balinese getaway into everyday living. With a 363 sqm site and 369.8 sqm building area, the house combines Balinese Modern Tropical architecture with contemporary functionality, responding to the client’s desire for a comfortable home filled with natural light and spaces for quality time with family and friends.

The spatial planning focuses on creating a sense of openness through a well-integrated open-plan layout. A sunken pool, game and bar area, entertainment space, and rooftop are incorporated into the home, offering different settings for gathering, relaxing, and enjoying everyday life.

The facade presents a bold floating solid-box form, softened through timber finishes and natural materials. Limestone, timber, and terrazzo reinforce the tropical character while bringing warmth and texture into the contemporary architecture.

For us, HD House reflects an integrated approach to design—where layout, materiality, and lifestyle come together to create a spacious and comfortable long-term home.
