Seraya Villa

Seraya Villa is a modern tropical residence located in the heart of Seminyak, Bali, designed as a private retreat for actor Rio Stockhorst and his family. As architects, our challenge was to create a home that embraces Bali indoor-outdoor lifestyle while maintaining a strong sense of privacy within one of the island most vibrant destinations.

The design explores the balance between openness and seclusion through layered zoning, carefully framed views, and a dynamic composition of overlapping volumes. Large openings, natural ventilation, and abundant daylight allow the villa to feel connected to its tropical surroundings, while selective facades, landscaping, and architectural screening provide comfort and protection from the outside world.

Natural materials such as stone, wood, and textured finishes were chosen to create a warm and timeless atmosphere while responding to Bali tropical climate. The living area opens seamlessly toward the swimming pool, fulfilling the client desire for effortless indoor-outdoor living. Through a contemporary interpretation of tropical architecture, Seraya Villa offers a calm, elegant, and highly functional sanctuary designed for modern living in Bali.
