Lou Villa is designed from a clear and focused brief: a single-level home that still feels grand and expansive. Located in Uluwatu near Nunggalan Beach, the villa sits on 500 sqm of land with a 230 sqm building, accommodating a 2-bedroom main villa and a separate 1-bedroom studio that can function independently or as one unified space.
To achieve a sense of scale without adding another floor, the design emphasizes vertical volume. A 4-meter-high ceiling and tall openings create a spatial experience that feels open, breathable, and generous. While perceived as a single-story home, the structural approach is calculated with the complexity of a two-level building to support these proportions.
This careful balance between form and structure allows the villa to maintain simplicity in appearance while delivering a refined spatial quality, where air flows easily and every space feels intentionally elevated.
